Gurren Lagann is straight bonkers
Just picked up watching Gurren Lagann from my recommendation queue and it very much feels like an Miller-lite, Saturday morning cartoon, Aughts version of Outlaw Star.
But, like, weirder.
A standalone head mecha? Okay, sure. Another…bigger standalone head mecha that accepts the little head on top of it and spontaneously grows a nervous system and turns into a Big-O? What the actual fuck were the writers smoking…
And supposedly the scaling gets insane later on in the series. I have a feeling that this one is gonna be a roller coaster.
