Open weight models, Opencode, and ACP FTW
The Opencode-Go subscription with Opencode agent ACP integration in Zed editor is by far the best way to consume open-weight models (eg GLM-5.2, Kimi K2.7) cheaply. Compared to Clinepass with Cline in Zed terminal which feels like a hack, the subscription and agent integration of Opencode in Zed are seamless.
What “seamlessness” you ask? Agent response syntax highlighting, session selection and persistence, consistent styling and UI integration with model selection, agent location following, and agent session mode selection.
That level of integration isn’t a huge deal, and I could make Cline work here if I had to, but it reduces friction enough that it’s pleasantly noticeable in comparison.
